there have been so many great articles and videos that i have come across this month. being a lover of sharing things, i have complied a list of all of the lovely reads/ watches, to share with you!

 yeah, sometimes it sucks.

in light of the above article, have you ever asked yourself why you are still single? i sure have.

what random holiday falls on your birthday.- weird right?

everything i need to know, i learned from tina and amy. 

 i will never be able to express my love for these two ladies.

because, even though i am not a mother, let alone married, these are the most ridiculous questions to be asking someone.

proof that ignorance is still running rampant. i mean come on, why? why can't someone be more than average?

because, i hope to be a mother of a large family one day and also know alot of large families.

 this is also ridiculous. again, the ignorance is real,  i swear.

so if you live below the mason- dixon line in, or watch the news, you may have heard about the "snow storm" that was suppose to come.

i, of course, called bs on the entire thing. although, come yesterday with the sudden drop in temperature from the day before, i felt as though i would be putting my foot in my mouth.

i woke up this morning to ice everywhere. so.....just a part of my foot was in my mouth?

with this said weather change comes sickness. at least it does for me. with any drastic weather change (example: monday it was in the 60's or 70's and tuesday it dropped to the 30's and 40's), my body goes into some weird "mode" and i begin coughing up my lungs, sniffling everywhere, and sounding real husky-like.

it's super fun. not.

anyways, i have thus resorted to laying in bed all day watching 30 Rock,

 and drinking copious amounts of tea. 

for real though, the amount i've had is probably ungodly in other countries.

but i don't care.

i've rather enjoyed this rest day though. it's not something that happens very often, so when it does, i take FULL advantage of it.

yep. that's the delirium kicking in. i should probably quit typing now, for fear of saying anything else that may or may not make a whole lot of sense.

pray for Ukraine.

urgent prayer request:

if you don't know what's going on, search Ukraine on twitter or google and read up. 

pray for the people and the government of Ukraine. 

pray for the people there. pray for peace. pray for safety. ultimately though, pray for God's will.

also, please pray for three of my friends that are in Ukraine serving the Lord. 

pray for their safety. pray for their ministry.

i have never been to Ukraine, but many ways, shapes, and forms, it has been a part of my life for a very long time, so it is frightening for me to hear and read about what is going on.

 i know though that whatever happens, God has a plan, it just maybe something we don't understand, and we may never understand till we, believers, get to heaven.

i just beg you all to just cover this country in your prayers.

nutella hot chocolate.

it's the time of year again where it's a tad on the chilly side. 

if you live where i live, it gets a tad chilly, 

then rather warm, 

then antarctic cold, 

then warm, 

then nice during the day and chilly at night.

that's a lot of weather. but that's literally what it's been like. 

i would call it weird, but it's been this way always; weird.

when it gets chilly like this, my house get real cold-like and so i need something to warm the depths of my person. 

preferably a beverage.

 a warm beverage.

now i have a number of warm beverages up my sleeve that i can count on, but none of them tickled my taste buds.

except for one: nutella hot chocolate. 

if you have been so kind as to read this blog for a while, you know that i once posted a junky little post about this beautiful, warm beverage.

well i'm here to do it a little more justice. 

a more in depth instructional post. 

i'd almost call it "nutella hot chocolate for dummies" but that's probably copy written somewhere, so i won't call it that.

and without further ado, let's start at the very beginning. it's a very good place to start.

step 1: find your milk. you can use any milk.
 i definitely have; regular, skim, almond, soy, and now coconut

step 2: find your hazelnut spread.
i'm cheap and this stuff tastes exactly like real nutella.
it's a win win really.

step 3: find your favorite mug.
this one is my current favorite.
 isn't it cute?

step 4: make a hot surface and find a sauce pan.
turn the heat on high for quicker hot chocolate.
use whatever size saucepan that your precious heart desires.
or for the number of people you're making this for.

step 5: add two spoonfuls of nutella
 (or less or even more than that depending on your desire of richness.)

step 6: find your whisk and whisk till it's mixed.
whisk it till it's good and frothy-like.

step 7: grab your favorite mug and pour the warm, frothy happiness in.

step 8: take a picture with your mug showing how happy you are for making this liquid gold.

and there you have it folks. a super easy (maybe even sarcastically easy) recipe for a warm drink for a chill winter night.

happy new year!

earlier this week: we all grew up together!
left to right: myself, caleb, john, abby, zach, and brittany

the three of us were all in the same row (literally lined up like this) in youth choir. we were pains in the booty because we liked to laugh a lot.

wow. this year went by so fast.

wow. that was a cliche' thing to say.

but, wow. it's so true.

and as i attempt to look back on this year......so much of it i do not remember. #awkward. the things i do remember though, i will always remember.

like the amazing summer camp that i went too.

like that time where it was clear where God was calling me with my life.

and like the time i experienced before Christmas that was a wake up call: there are things that happen, and yeah those things may suck. but God is sovereign. God has a plan. and, because of this, i need to work on loving Jesus, doing my best in school, and working to the glory of God. 

and that's what i'm going to do.

so happy to ring in the new year with these ladies along with a bunch of other great people!

and so now that 2014 has begun, i would like to share some goals that i want to accomplish. i realize this is pretty much the same idea has "resolutions", but i feel as though i have a better chance of actually attempting to accomplish them if i call the goals.

goals for 2014:

learn to love Jesus more.

be a better friend and keep in contact with those people who are my friends but have gone away to school or have moved away for good.

remember birthdays and be proactive about acknowledging them, particularly in regards to family and dear friends.

take more pictures.
