it's thursday again.

...two of your best friends and your mother blindfold and kidnap you. the ending was happier then the beginning though. don't worry.

... you make any kind of accidental loud noise in the library. it echos.....very loudly.

...you almost walk into someone and while moving out of each
other's way, he does a little jumpity thingy. you are not a boxer. stop bouncing back and forth like on. honestly.

 ...a friend from school knows it's your birthday, and starts
serenadeing to you IN THE LIBRARY.

 ...the same thing happens at your other job, and you get chased into
the bathroom by another serenader.

...you're school mascot is a sandshark and one of the profs. comes
up to the front desk and asks you "how do you sand a shark?" um...i don't know.

 ...you find a book entitled "who moved my cheese?", in the psychology section. i moved you're cheese. guilty.

... your shoes keep tripping you up, ESPECIALLY when you walk by someone.

alyse and i spent the day in bluffton and hilton head today.

we went to see the three musketeers........in 3D.

oh flipping poo.......it was AWESOME.

i can't stand how great it was.

this lovely dude, Matthew Macfayden, was in it,

which made me super excited because

i LOVED LOVED LOVED HIM as mr darcy in the newer pride and prejudice.

also this attractive kid was in it.

logan lerman.

most would associate him with that percy jackson movie that i never saw.

i associate him with HOOT.

he has grown up since then...and is very handsome.
i loved him in the movie.

then we decided to be super cool and take some pictures after the movie....

when i see something in three dimension, this is how i usually go through the movie.

lifting my classes up and down so stuff doesn't fly in my face.

yeah. fun day. awesome movie. strange girls. this is what we do when we have fall break.

we MAKE a day. yeah.....

on awkward and awesome thursday, can i add one more awkward moment?


well i'm going to anyways....:P


so i was coming from a babysitting job, going to make a run into the dollar tree for something. i pull into the walmart parking lot, minding my own business. as i park in my parking spot, i notice tow dudes from far away. (and no, i was not being a stalker of cute guys, i just happened to notice this)

almost directly across from me, a couple parking rows away, these two dudes are throwing punches. well for a split second, it appeared as if it was just two dudes wrassleing (yes i just used the term from the Beverly hillbillies).


but boy was i wrong. they weren't just wrassleing, they were pounding each other. like a legit fight. this went on till one pinned the other on the ground and was pounding, almost like there was no tomorrow.


this was all in about three to five minutes. i was sitting there, so confused at what i was seeing.

now i know what you're thinking. "why didn't you call the police?" or "why didn't you get help?"

i did try to get help. but it was one of those moments where i was so astonished at what i saw, i wasn't sure how i should react. at our walmart parking lot, i would expect stuff to happen there. AT NIGHT. not in broad day light.


well, i went into the store and asked if there was security near by. they said that they usually just call the police. but the guy i talked to wanted to know where they were.

so as i headed, i asked the guy "if they are still there, should i just call 911?" and he says "yes." and gave me the impression that these kind of things happen all the time in the walmart parking lot.


yes i feel dumb for not having a faster reaction to what happened. if it was something i saw more then maybe that instinct to call the police would come faster. but i hope that i don't see that again in a LONG time.

don't judge me. :P

welllll......what had happened was....awkward and awesome

i am not going to go on and on about why i haven't posted in like three months. it would take up a great amount of posting time and i'm sure no one would really care one way or another. :)




seriously though, lots has been happening. good stuff. bad stuff. and everything in between.



and in particular: GRADUATION has come and gone! graduation week: the most stressful week i have faced yet, holy shamoley. but i'm done with HIGHSCHOOL.







oh-stinkin-yeah.







i feel quite accomplished, with having survived highschool, only making two C's this entire school year and what-not. now i'm getting read for a week long youth trip and a missions trip to CHINA. super excitement flowing over here! oh yeah-uh.








ANYHOOZAL.....



summer time is basically here! i live in Beaufort, South Carolina, you may have assumed that it already started. but that is the strange part. summer starts earlier HERE then other place.




summer in Beaufort can usually consist of:




1. beach days and/or pool days (something i have only had the privilege to do once)

2. large quantities of sweet tea, water, capri sun, and sometimes even iced coffee being consumed on a daily basis. (i may have been known to be a large consumer of the iced coffee........)

3. and then there are those days when you have been downtown, to bluffton or the beach more then anyone should. you are so bored that you say "let's hang out at wal-mart" and actually mean it. (that's what happens when you live in a town where the closest mall is an hour away.)




AND for those of us with curly/wavy/ get's-frizzy-as-soon-as-you-walk-outside- because-it's-so-damp-out- humidity is something you have to plan your day around.



it reminds me of what Jane Austen said about hot weather: "What dreadful hot weather we have! It keeps me in a continual state of inelegance." (emphasis added)




amen sister. couldn't have said it better myself.











and while i'm posting, today , as other blogs have named it, it AWKWARD and AWESOME thursday:

i'll follow that lil trend today and share some awkward/awesome moments.

awkward.

1. going in to a swanky salon and med spa for a haircut (i used a coupon cuz i wouldn't have been there otherwise.) and having a MAN cut you're hair. that was an awkwardly intimate experience, having a strange man run his fingers through my hair. *shudders* i felt violated. (keep in mind though, HE DID AN AMAZING JOB ON MY HAIR. i was impressed)

2. changing probably a million diapers the weekend before a i got my hair did. in nursery at my church, watching lil chillins for a homeschool conference, and i am the only adult (as in old enough to change diapers) in the room, allowing me to be on diaper duty.

3. having some strange kid from one of the conference vendors continuously coming by the nursery.

awesome.

1. that haircut from the MAN. it is great, i'm not gonna lie.

2. the fact that i have finally completed highschool. i can't stress enough what an amazing feeling that is to be done with this part of my schooling. i could scream. but i'm not going to, because neighbors might hear me and then may call the police because they will have thought i have been murdered.

3. kid from conference mention earlier. while he was awkward, he was awesome in the sense that he would provide us with a constant source of laughter, because he was in fact, HYSTERICAL.
