A Proverb a day......

So for a while, and along with another study or whatever i had been doing, i have been trying read a proverb that went along with the date for my quiet time. I think its ture that "a proverb a day keeps the devil away"....

This is also something we have been doing in my sunday school class...the way that my teacher has us look through it, it has been very helpful with finding information that can help youthrough the day.....

So to day is january 27, 2010....i read Proverbs 27.....good things have come out of that proverb....
2. Let another praise you, and not your own mouth,
a stranger, and not your own lips.
(don't go around patting your back or tootong your own horn....
let another person praise you if there is praise to be giving..)
9. Oil and perfume make the heart glad,
So a man's counsel is sweer to his friend
(if your giving someone advice, let it be sweer like perfume...)
17. Iron sharpen iron, so one man sharpens another.
22. Though you pound a fool in thee mortar with a pestle along with crushed grain,
yet his foolishness will not depart from him.
(mortar- a recepticle of hard material aka something hard. pestle- a tool grinding substances in a mortar. basically you can't beat, pound, or grind foolishness out of a foolishman.....)
