i would relive this memory again.

today's blogtember topic is: a memory you would love to relive.

i don't have very many memories that i would relive, but of the few there is definitely one that sticks out.

it was a week filled with Jesus, music, and making new friends, renewing old ones.
it was a week that God really began to show me where His present calling on my life was.
it was a week that lead me to this post.

it was a week that lead me to this very moment.

well not this very moment because i am currently blogging and not working on homework. (don't worry mom, i got some stuff knocked out before i did this post.) but it lead me to my present form of education; learning about Jesus so i can teach others about Jesus.

and that is just the best.
God is good all the time.
All the time,  God is good.

if i did a lot of online shopping.....

and here we are on day SEVEN of blogtember.
 and we shall ignore the fact that i haven't blogged in four days.
 (or more, i've lost count. don't judge me.)

today's topic: Share links to your favorite online shops,
preferably with a few photos of your favorite items in each shop.

and here we go!

i have a few favorite online shops, most of them being etsy shops,
BUT WHO CARES RIGHT YA'LL?

this girl is a beauty guru on youtube who has a very eclectic taste in fashion
and makeup and things in general.
and i think she's great.
she has some cute things in this shop including some pins with some of the zany things she says in her videos.

there are necklaces and key chains and i am in love with the "earthiness" of the pieces.

this woman HAND MAKES ALL OF THESE DRESSES and they are just the prettiest dresses i have ever seen. if i had the money, i would stock up on a few vintage-esque dresses.

4. kitsch

this shop has my favorite types of hair ties and
 really pretty jewelry for an unreasonable amount of money.

do you have any favorite online shops?
these are just a few of mine.

three months off? what to do.

it's day two of blogtember! and my birthday......cough.

todays prompt is-If you could take three months off from your current life and do anything in the world, what would you do?

three. months. off.

from everyday life. this sounds strangely good. but what would i do with that time?

i think i would go on a long road trip.

i would go hiking. maybe even some camping. release my inner woodland child.

i would focus on blogging and really try to make it work.

i would *try* to make some youtube videos. (i know i am always saying that. leave me alone.)

i would focus on some hobbies, like music and coffee.

i would try and spend more time with my friends and *try* to invest in people's lives more than i do.

if i could fit this in, i would love to do some international traveling. China reunion anyone?

i would work on my cooking and cleaning skills.....cough.

what would you do with three months off?

everything is finer when you live in Carolina.

here's to two posts in one day! this is a rarity on this blog.
 i am participating in BLOGTEMBER and blogging almost everyday this month!
huzzah.

today's prompt: describe where or what you come from. The people, the places, and/or the factors that make up who you are.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
i come from a small town. *queue "don't stop believing"*
it's a small little coastal town in south carolina.
i've lived here my entire life, and i can't think of a better place to grow up (except maybe in the mountains.....but whatever.) i grew up going to the beach frequently, and being home schooled, those days counted as school days (sometimes).
the people here, well, let's say you can tell who has lived here forever and who hasn't. Most everyone is as sweet has can be, and those who have been here for ages just add to the sweetness with their lovely southern accent.
"ya'll" and the every so subtle insult "well bless your heart" are ust haves in our vocabulary. you know a thing or two about the gullah culture and can tell if a person is a "binyah"or a "comeyah"
i unfortunately don't completely posses that sticky sweet southern accent. but i represent my town all the same.
everyone drinks sweet tea like it's their job, as well as flip flops, and visors among other things.
many people decide that this is a great place to retire. i agree completely with them. if i hadn't grown up here, i'd want to come.
others end up getting stationed here at one of three military bases. #marinetown
fishing and hunting are big hobbies here.
everyone knows about souther hospitality, just not everyone decides to use it.
we are a small enough town that we can justify saying "let's go hang out at walmart"
and actually mean it.
the closest starbucks is twenty to forty five minutes away (of course this all depends on where you live. sometimes it could even be an hour.), but people will make the trip for some classy chain coffee. #guilty
but these are just a few of the many reasons why i love beaufort.
disclaimer: this is just my view of my sweet town. i realize not everyone agrees. c'est la vie.
i just can't because of feelings.
i was given the glorious opportunity to have a fro yo date with one of my dear friends this afternoon. as usual, our conversation turned to music (as it almost always does) and we began talking about how our emotions have a lot to do with certain songs.
i have decided, and she agreed, that there are certain songs i just can't listen too. if they pop up on my itunes shuffle, i switch it immediately because I JUST. CAN'T, LISTEN.
now why just can't i listen? well, there are certain songs that make me have an emotional experience that i just don't want to have.
for example, if anything by the Jonas Brothers (and i can hear the collective gaggings as i type that) comes on my shuffle, i just can't listen. reminds me of my highschool days and, besides the fact that i had Jesus and the Jonas Brothers, let me tell you....highschool was not fun.
if anything by Big Time Rush (be careful with the gagging, i think i actually heard a dry heave), specifically this one and this one (which technically an All Time Low cover...but still).
if "Say You Like Me" by We The Kings song comes on, it's a hit or miss....lately it's been a hit.
if ANYTHING......literally anything comes on my ipod shuffle that is by Hawk Nelson, i JUST CAN'T.
most of these songs i can't listen to. I CAN'T LISTEN TO BECAUSE OF FEELINGS.
an emotional experience will happen that i don't want to have. memories from that time in my lifewill come flodding back;
