singleness...

this sunday in sunday school we talked about singleness and how we use the time we have as single women.

from I Kissed Dating Goodbye:

1. the right thing at the wrong time is the wrong thing.
*are we using this time of singleness to prepare our selves to be a godly spouse or pretending with dating relationships?

2. you don't need to shop for what you can't afford.
*just because something is good for you doesn't mean it's good for you right now.

3. any season of singleness is a gift from God.
*God does not give us something that is not good for us

soooooo.... WHILE WE SINGLE GIRLS ARE WAITING; practice:

-intimacy in other relationships, like family, friends, etc.
-seeking God with others. ie. girl friends.
- financial responsibility
- parenthood-----this means KNOW HOW TO CHANGE A DIAPER.
- practical life skills

we need to be content with the time of singleness that we have.......possibly that's easier said then done. but we can at least try, and ask God to help to help us with this.

:)

it's something that i am constantly reminding myself, as a single woman; that this is a gift from God.

Hi Lady!

Loved this post. I went through singleness in the beginning of college and its worth taking time for yourself and to figure out the right person for you. That time also helped me to connect deeper with people in church that I will have a lasting relationship with for the rest of my life (I hope at least).

can you send me an email about the "other" tab?

assignments have been piling up... I'm sure you know the drill, and I am swamped. I check my email everyday but I'm not always checking blogger!

Have a fantastic day!
